This Montreal Street high-rise apartment block in the Christchurch CBD needed serious attention, and a lot of mahi went into getting it right.
When you’re working several stories up on a commercial roof, you don’t want to be back here in five years doing repairs. This had to be done properly for longevity.
The roof got the full treatment: a thorough high-pressure waterblast to strip away years of weathering, all new drypan flashings installed, and the skylights carefully oil-based primed for maximum adhesion and protection.
Then came the coatings – two solid undercoats followed by two solid topcoats. No shortcuts, no compromises. Just the kind of methodical prep and application that ensures this roof will handle everything Canterbury’s weather throws at it for decades to come.
It came up fantastic. Jobs like this remind me why I love what I do – taking on the challenging work that needs precision, patience, and a genuine commitment to doing things right the first time.
